Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Elbow pasta
  • 1/2 Lb bacon, diced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 Tbsps honey
  • 1 Tbsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp crushed red hot peppers

  1. Cook pasta according to the instructions on the box.
  2. In a pot, toss in the bacon & cook until crisped (about 7 minutes).
  3. Once crisp, pull out the bacon and dump out all of the greasy fat.
  4. Put three-quarters of the bacon back in the pot with the cream, milk, pepper, garlic & red hot peppers.
  5. Before the pot boils, slowly add the cheeses, stirring along the way.
  6. Once the cheese is fully combined, stir in the honey.
  7. Add salt & pepper to taste (the honey could need more balance).
  8. Mix with the pasta & serve with the remaining bacon on top.
