This brussel side dish is creamy, spicy and extremely satisfying. You really can't go wrong!

  • 1 Lb of fresh shredded brussel sprouts
  • 3 Tbsps butter
  • 2 minced shallots
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup of half & half
  • 3/4 cup of shredded Italian cheese
  • 1 tsp cayenne (yup, I said it!)
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. You can buy shredded brussels sprouts however, they will have a fresher taste if you hand cut (SORRY!!!).
  2. Warm the butter in a pan, then add the shallots until they are translucent (4-5 minutes)
  3. Add the brussels, chicken broth, cayenne & garlic powder, reduce until most of the liquid is gone (10-ish minutes)
  4. Add half & half and 1/2 cup of the cheese, then simmer for another 5 minutes
  5. Spoon into a dish and top with the remaining cheese.
