  • 2 cups dry grits
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 Tbsps butter
  • 6 oz gruyere cheese
  • 6 oz parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp crushed red peppers
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 clove of garlic, diced
  • 3 Tbsps mayo
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp pepper

  1. In a pot, warm the chicken stock & milk. Once the broth is boiling, gently add the grits while stirring. Cook for 20 mins on low heat, adding more milk as needed.
  2. To the grits, add all of the gruyere cheese & half of the parmesean in small bits.
  3. Once the cheese is combined add in the butter, salt & half of the pepper.
  4. In another small bowl, add the peas, remaining parmesean cheese, crushed red peppers, sour cream, onion powder & garlic powder. Be sure to stir the pot until it is fully combined.
  5. Scoop the grits in a bowl, topping with a scoop of peas & a little extra butter.
