Man I love a breakfast sandwich, except for all of the fat! With a few simple tweaks, we have a meal that is healthier and can be made more often, with much more flavor. This is our very simple, yet super delicious Breakfast Burger.
1/2 lb ground spicy italian sausage
4 frozen or refrigerated biscuits
1/4 of a red onion
1 cup of mixed greens
2 Tbsps dijon mustard
Form 4 patties out of the sausage and pan fry until fully cooked (165 internal temperature).
Bake biscuits according to instructions (you could make fresh, but the key here is simple).
Separate remaining ingredients, split the biscuits and form sandwiches.
